Haley Parker L.Ac

Dr. Haley is a Virginia State Board Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist, a New Mexico State Board Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Diplomat in Oriental Medicine certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in clean needle technique.

Dr. Haley received her Master’s Degree in The Science of Oriental Medicine from the prestigious Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico graduating at the top of her class. As part of her clinical training, Dr. Haley practiced at an integrative medical setting at the Santa Fe Indian Hospital, where she specialized in arthritis, back pain, allergies, and diabetes. Dr. Haley’s other clinical expertise includes woman’s health from her time working at the Santa Fe Woman’s Center and the gynecology department of the Heilong Integrative University Hospital in Harbin, China. During her time in China, Dr. Haley also worked with the cancer and post-stroke patients, as well as other neurology patients.

Post-graduation, Dr. Haley started her own business and private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She worked extensively with patients suffering from psycho-emotional disorders, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Dr. Haley’s background as a Division 1, Varsity athlete contributed to her successful strategy working with student-athletes on sports-related psychologically, competitive performance, and nutritional aspects for their athletic training. Dr. Haley’s passion for athletics and physical fitness continued to serve her as she worked as the resident acupuncturist at the prominent El Gancho Racquet and Fitness Club in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She had success treating joint and back pain, tendonitis, and metabolic disorders aiding in weight-loss programs, prior to her working as the acupuncturist on Princess Cruise Lines for the last 5 years.

Her experience has given her the opportunity to treat patients all over the world and globally study health and wellness strategies. Dr. Haley feels extremely fortunate to be able to have changed the lives of her patients by relieving them of their health concerns within the short duration of just one cruise. Her method of treatment encouraged the body to jump-start its own natural healing processes for a better quality of life. Her patients’ conditions have ranged from pain conditions such as sciatic pain, back pain, joint injuries, and arthritis to terminal cancer pain, post-stroke paraplegia, weight-loss, digestive disorders, and facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Haley is thrilled to join the team here at the Chiropractic Family Health Centre while she is pursuing her specialty in sports medicine acupuncture and continuing her certification as a Natural Health Practitioner.

Dr Curtis Margerum, DC

Dr. Curtis C. Margerum, D.C. was born in Mayville, ND. He grew up in Minnesota and was active in football, basketball, baseball and track in high school. He also participated in choir, band and drama. He went on to play baseball at both Moorhead State University and the University of North Dakota. From there he attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN graduating in 1990.

He has been in practice for the last 26 years in Alexandria, Virginia and loving every minute of it. He has helped countless number of patients through the years. He has skills in many chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Activator, Thompson Drop and Cox Flexion Distraction.

He recently joined the Palmercare Chiropractic group which serves Northern Virginia in eight different locations. He is constantly attending seminars and meetings to continue to better himself for the benefit of his patients. His main goal is to provide the chiropractic experience which is above and beyond the patients’ expectations.

Dr. Christopher Chapleau, DAc, MSAc, LAc, Dipl.Ac, MSHP, FMS, SFMA, IMT, CES

Dr. Chris’s extensive education and experience into human performance and movement uniquely sets him apart from other practitioners. Dr. Chris combines Western and Eastern physical medicine to improve mobility and rehabilitate injuries to a fully functional level. His goal is to help his clients be productive and energetic to meet the demands of daily life.

Besides the traditional Eastern approach with acupuncture therapy, Chris integrates a Western biomedical approach to using acupuncture, trigger point therapy, manual, and movement therapy. His experience training himself and others for triathlons, CrossFit, running, rucking, bike racing, MMA, and similarly demanding athletic endeavors uniquely prepares him to assist athletes in realizing top performance while preserving peak immune function, and general good health.

Dr. Christopher Chapleau earned his Master of Acupuncture Medicine degree from the New York College of Health Professions in 2001 and earned his Doctorate in Acupuncture in 2019 from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Chris has many acupuncture research publications in various scientific journals. He holds a Master of Science degree in Human Performance from Southern CT State University, certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist from the National Academy of Sport Medicine and also holds various certifications in acupuncture medicine including Orthopedic and Sport Acupuncture, Facial Rejuvenation, NADA (community trauma) and Battlefield Acupuncture. He has many years of experience and holds certifications in Western and Eastern herbal medicine from the Twin Star School of Herbal and Energetic Studies, New Milford, CT., and is certified in Kampo herbal medicine from the NYC Kampo Institute under Nigel Dawes.

Dr. Brian Yodice

Dr. Yodice’s has been in practices since 1999, graduating with a Doctorate in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College with specialties as a Chiropractic Sports Physician and in Active Release Technique.

Dr. Yodice become a Chiropractor due to two experiences in his youth.

   1. When Dr. Yodice was young, his father hurt his back and became incapacitated, unable to stand.  When standard medical treatments didn’t help, his father went to a chiropractor.  After going through a treatment plan with is Chiropractor, he was soon able to stand, walk, and return to work

   2. Later in his young life, Dr. Yodice obtained an injury playing lacrosse and a Chiropractor was able to help him quickly heal from that injury and return to the sport.  He did however find a lot of side benefits from his Chiropractic care as he saw his level of health and performance increase.

Due to these experiences, Dr. Yodice decided to dedicate his studies to Chiropractic and helping his community with a multitude of symptoms, including back pain, neck pain, digestive issues, headaches, and so much more.  Dr. Yodice has a passion for athletics, as he was in gymnastics and soccer since the age of 5 and continued through high school with lacrosse and into college.  Now, Dr. Yodice helps his clients who include young athletes, high school and college amateurs, professionals, and weekend warriors heal from their injures, so that they can return to athletic function and competitive level of performance through Chiropractic.  Dr. Yodice, not only enjoys treating athletes, but sees whole families, with certifications in techniques to support symptoms from Pregnancy, Babies, and young children.

Outside of the office, you may catch Dr. Yodice with one of his furry friends at a local coffee shop, car show, swimming, biking, and running, training for his next triathlon or cycling event.
